Paper Handling
  • All single sided Royal Brites Photo papers are included in packages with the printable side facing upward. Please be sure to print on the upward facing side of the sheet only. Unless a sheet is indicated as being two-sided, such as the back of the sheet is not printable.
  • Always handle photo paper by the edges - oils from fingers can irreparably damage the printing surface.
  • Avoid touching the imaging surface area prior to and after printing.
  • Keep photo paper stored in its original packaging after opening.
  • Paper and prints should be stored and used in a room temperature range of 65°-80°F and humidity level between 40% and 80%.
Printer Settings
  • Set printer to maximum resolution or "best" setting.
  • In advanced printer settings or preferences, select the best photo setting available.
  • For paper type, choose premium or professional photo paper or other photo paper.
  • You may need to experiment with the different paper options listed to obtain optimal print results.
  • If a gamma control is offered, lower is better than higher.
Tips for Best Quality
  • Perform printer head alignment and cleaning if needed.
  • Unless a paper specifically has the indication of instant drying, immediately remove prints from printer when ejected and allow at least 15 minutes to dry.
  • In low temperatures and humid climates, prints may take longer to dry.
  • Do not stack prints on top of each other directly after printing.
  • To extend the life of your prints, avoid excessive exposure to heat, light and moisture.
  • Ideally, when displaying prints produced using dye-based inks, they should be placed behind glass or photo-safe acrylic to avoid atmospheric and light color fade.
  • Do not stack or store prints with regular photos or plastic film sheets; they could become attached to the printed surface. If using storage sleeves or albums, confirm they are photo safe.
  • Carefully store prints in a photo-safe environment to avoid print surface damage and image degradation.
